Yorkeys Knob Beach

Yorkeys Knob is a much larger and wilder beach than others on the tropical north coast. The winds and (occasional) mild surf makes this the beach of choice for those wishing to partake in water sports such as jet skiing, wind surfing and kite surfing. Yorkey’s Knob has some parkland near the car parks for the main area of the beach with some play equipment. The beach is not close to the play equipment. There is a stinger net during stinger season. If you see the net is out, make sure you don’t swim anywhere else.

Holloways Beach Markets

Holloways Beach markets are like a step back in time to the local markets I remember as a child. They are held on the foreshore on the 2nd Sunday of the month from 8am-1pm.

Clifton Beach

Clifton Beach is the first beach south of Palm Cove and has a very similar feel, with palm trees and grassy areas next to the sand. There is a lovely shaded playground and BBQ area close to the stinger net. There is ample shade under the trees at the beach and on the grassy areas. The playground and beach can both get quite sunny, however, so be sun smart here!
