Port Douglas Markets

The Port Douglas Markets are on every Sunday in ANZAC Park, Port Douglas. They run from 8am until about 1pm. There are many great stalls with local arts and crafts, food, massage and clothing. You will also find music, entertainers and buskers.

The Markets became a Cotters Market in in 1998. This guarantees that goods products were made by the stallholder or their immediate family.

The market itself is a busy one, full of tourists and locals enjoying a Sunday morning outing. The park is adjacent to the water so keep an eye on little one's although they will probably be mesmerised by all the colour and action at the market! The park extends beyond the market and we often retire to the playground there with a cool drink to enjoy the view of the coral sea through the palm trees while the kids run around and play. This can also be a good place to base yourself if you have the luxury of a few extra adults who could take turns exploring the market alone!
