Fishing at the Old Barron Bridge

Accessed via the service station at Stratford this is a popular spot and stretches a third of the way across the Barron River. This is a safe an easy place to fish with kids although there are no facilities closeby.

Bring a couple of chairs, a hand line or rod, your tackle and bait and some food and drink. You could possibly catch a bigger fish but it is more likely you will snag a few small ones and have a lovely time.

Early morning or evening is best as there is no shade.
